Warehouse Specialist Medical Mobility Equipment (Wheelchairs & Rehab Technology)

Action Seating & Mobility – Fayetteville, AR
Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM 

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour

Action Seating & Mobility is seeking a Field Service Technician to diagnose, repair, assemble, deliver, and support complex rehabilitation mobility equipment including manual wheelchairs, power wheelchairs, and seating systems.

In addition to field service responsibilities, this role supports warehouse coordination functions including inventory tracking, equipment staging, purchasing support, and workflow readiness to ensure timely delivery of mobility solutions to patients.

This position plays a critical role in restoring independence, safety, and mobility for the individuals we serve.

Primary Responsibilities – Field Service & Equipment Support

  • Diagnose and repair manual and power wheelchairs 
  • Perform equipment adjustments and modifications in the field 
  • Deliver and set up mobility equipment in homes and clinical environments 
  • Provide patient and caregiver instruction on equipment use 
  • Complete service documentation accurately and promptly 
  • Maintain company vehicle inventory and service tools 
  • Coordinate repair parts ordering as needed 
  • Prepare and manage loaner equipment when required 
  • Support Assistive Technology Professionals (ATPs) during equipment setups

Secondary Responsibilities – Warehouse Operations Support

This role also supports internal equipment workflow and warehouse readiness:

  • Assist with receiving and staging incoming equipment 
  • Pre-assemble mobility devices prior to delivery scheduling 
  • Maintain inventory accuracy in Atlas 
  • Support Min/Max parts inventory tracking 
  • Assist with purchase order receiving verification 
  • Coordinate equipment movement between staging and delivery queues 
  • Investigate shipment discrepancies or missing components 
  • Assist with cycle counts and inventory reconciliation 
  • Support annual physical inventory counts 
  • Maintain warehouse organization and safety standards

Equipment Build & Delivery Readiness Coordination

  • Ensure equipment builds are progressing according to delivery timelines 
  • Stage equipment for ATP configuration and clinical readiness 
  • Verify components against order specifications 
  • Assist with equipment transfers between branch locations 
  • Communicate equipment status updates to internal teams

Collaboration Responsibilities

This role works closely with:

  • Assistive Technology Professionals (ATPs) 
  • Action Care Coordinators (ACCs) 
  • Warehouse staff 
  • Billing teams 
  • Branch leadership 

Strong coordination across departments is essential for success.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

Education

High school diploma or GED required

Preferred Experience

Experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • mechanical repair 
  • automotive or diesel service 
  • HVAC or industrial maintenance 
  • DME or CRT equipment service 
  • biomedical equipment repair 
  • field service technician roles 
  • warehouse inventory coordination 
  • Wheelchair or mobility equipment experience is strongly preferred but not required.

Technical Skills

Successful candidates typically demonstrate:

  • strong mechanical aptitude 
  • troubleshooting ability 
  • familiarity with hand and power tools 
  • basic electrical diagnostics experience 
  • ability to follow technical assembly specifications 
  • strong documentation accuracy 
  • comfort working independently in the field 
  • Experience with Atlas or similar tracking systems is a plus.

Physical Requirements

This position includes both field service and warehouse activity:

  • Lift up to 65 lbs frequently 
  • Lift up to 100 lbs occasionally (team-assisted) 
  • Stand and walk up to 4 hours daily 
  • Sit up to 4 hours daily 
  • Drive up to 2 hours daily 

Work Environment

  • Combination of warehouse, clinic, and residential service settings 
  • Standard Monday–Friday schedule
